Winner in the “On the Rise: 0–4 Years in Business” category for making the internet safer for kids and teens
Singapore, October 14, 2025 — Fast Company has named k-ID, the global compliance platform enabling safe and age-appropriate digital experiences for young people, a winner in its 2025 Next Big Things in Tech Awards in the “On the Rise: 0–4 Years in Business” category or making the internet safer for kids and teens.
Now in its fifth year, Fast Company’s Next Big Things in Tech highlights breakthrough technologies that are transforming industries and addressing real-world challenges. Honourees are selected for their originality, impact, and potential to drive meaningful progress.
k-ID’s Compliance Developer Kit (CDK) helps online services meet complex and fast-changing global safety and privacy regulations. For many developers, meeting these regulations comes at a significant and potentially prohibitive cost, requiring hundreds of hours and constant updates. The CDK enables services to automatically adapt to regulatory requirements across jurisdictions — including the UK’s Online Safety Act, the EU’s Digital Services Act, and Australia’s Age Assurance Codes — reducing friction for users while maintaining privacy and trust.
“We built k-ID to make compliance a foundation for innovation,” said Kieran Donovan, CEO of k-ID. “Being recognised by Fast Company reinforces our mission to make regulatory readiness simple, scalable, and privacy-first — empowering companies to create safer, more trusted digital experiences worldwide.”
This recognition follows k-ID’s inclusion in TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025 in the Privacy & Security category, underscoring its growing role as a global leader in technology, compliance, and digital trust.
